Kids in the Hall

Kids in the hall is a Canadian sketch show in the late 80's and 90's.  This show ladies and gentlemen is one of my all time favorite shows. (not considering 3rd Rock From The Sun) Created by some geniuses  Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Scott Thompson, Kevin McDonald, and Mark McKinney. The show covers many strange thing's and odd topics I feel there quirkiness draws viewers in.  These are what make the show funny weather its watching these men act in drag, To there peculiar ideas to make people laugh i love this show.

 

  

I hope maybe a few people might discover the greatness of Kids in the Hall from this blog , and enjoy it as much as I do.

I really dont know what it is these days but i really feel like there is a large dip in the amount of romance that comes in dating and such now a days.  Yes i am only be in high school.  But the classiness of chivalry just gone out the window.  Personally i dont find any romance when it comes to having a boy text you. Now a days if you like some you are supposed to get there number and text it up and hang out.

I mean god damn i want to be asked out on a date to my face not from men who hides behind technology.  I personally do not get particularly excited when a guy asks me out over a text or facebook.( poor people who have ever been asked out over twitter) Im not sure if this kind of things bothers other women but i feel like the true romantics feel a disgust to the "new" ways of things.  What ever happened to courting? Getting to know someone?  Taking your time to fall in love.  

Not to mention couples who start dating for a week and claim to be madly in love with each other. I mean really, those poor pathetic saps they will probably be in shock when they break up next week. Or those people who will give it up for any body. Its just sad to see that this is how our society gradually becoming.

But i am sure that the true romantics will keep things alive. Because i want to fall in love the old fashion way!

My First Realized Obssetion

 Duuh Duuh da da da Duuh Duuh da da da Duuh Duuh dun-dun-dun-duuuuh.  A lovely little tune that comes to my mind when ever star wars is brought up.  Oh Star Wars what can i say about you.  

When younger i always remember seeing little snip its of the original trilogy ( for those with out knowledge the ones with Luke Skywalker or the ones that have the cheesier effects i mean hey it was 1977 do you blame them)  Not really ever knowing what was fully going on other then understanding that Darth Vader was Luke's father.  I remember going to the theaters to see the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.  But it was until about fifth grade when my mom got my dad the trilogy on dvd as a Christmas present when it started.  My dad had the great idea to watch all the movies during winter break we would watch one a night.  I was excited it looked interesting and my dad told me i would like it ( i mean he did and i am like his clone)  We watched one every night (minus the third for it was not out yet) Getting to the end of the movies it turned out that my mother and sister were not to interested and did not finish out winter break journey.  What could i say i was well hooked like you have no idea and from there my obsession grew. I began to watch the movies constantly just going threw them. ( now looking back i cant believe i did not get board) Or going on to Star Wars.com to watch the preview for Revenge over and over again. You have no idea what i was like when the movie actually came out.  If i would have had my license then i probably would have driven myself to see it about twenty times.  Then came the worst of it . . . To this day packed in my basement is this huge case which looks like Darth Vader. In it is a crap load of Star Wars action figures. Tons or them i also have two fighters.  For Christmas and my birthday thats pretty much all i asked for.( which no one bought for me except my grandma and parents the rest of my relatives probably did not think it was to girl y i have no idea) I played with those things none stop for like two years. Having the play station games. Not to mention for Halloween i was Darth Vader i still have the light saber which is bad ass. Playing sims and making my people the cast. I was folly enveloped in STAR WARS. To this day i have stopped playing with the action figuers and have them packed in a box filled with dolls and toys that i hope to give to my kids some day.  But i feel who could not like star wars i mean yes they can be a bit cheesy at times but it has every thing ACTION, SCI - FI , ROMANCE, BATTLES, UNEXPECTED PLOTS.  I feel as though they are just a great fantasy world with a little bit of everything for everyone.  They me be a bit nerdy but i dont think that should ever put off anyone from at least watching it plus there are some pretty good looking men in them such as  Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiansen.  If any one out there wants to know my favorite Star Wars movie would have to be Attack Of  The Clones.  My reasons I love the romance story with Anakin and Padme (im a girl come on im a sucker for love ) But there are also very good action scenes.  It has every thing.

My least favorite would have to be the Revenge of the Sith.  Actually i usually skip it when i am watching them all. Its very sad and upseting him turning evil. So i just decide to skip it. Im a bit lame that way.

 As for my obsession It has declined drastically.  I can still pretty much quote the movie and know tons of trivia but i feel that just adds to my personality. Plus its funny to look back, now its a bit of a joke between my sister as in "wow she is more obsessed then you and star wars". Or "My obsession was not that bad" " Are you really saying that? It was EXTREME" "alright you are right"
